___________________________________________________________________
RASMCO was established in 1987, quickly becoming part of KSA
nascent construction industry. The years, which followed, took the company
on an impressive growth path, with RASMCO now standing as a solid, mature and
diversified organization.
In
the last quarter-century, the Company has established itself as one of the
leading construction businesses in the KSA. RASMCO has applied its broad
expertise to over 20 challenging projects, focusing on a wide variety
of residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
With
an established track record of major developments in its portfolio, and
with strong strategic partnerships and an experienced and
knowledgeable management team, the Company is well positioned to continue
supplying its excellent services well into the future.
History:
RASMCO was established in 1987 as a family-owned enterprise with
a modest profile. Since that time, the Company has evolved to become one of the
significant players in the Saudi Arabia construction industry and now employees
in excess of 272 people.
Being
awarded the license necessary for building 'unlimited story' properties in 2000
allowed the Company to move up to the next level of construction projects in
terms of scale and diversity. At the same time, the rapidly rising demand for
large-scale innovative buildings within the KSA gave the Company a golden
opportunity to become a key contributor towards the development of the property
industry, one of the region's most successful economic drivers.
Whilst
most of our growth has come organically, over the last two decades RASMCO has also acquired a number of complementary
businesses (now operating divisions of the Group), each one a market leader in
its own industry.
The
evolution of the Company is best reflected by the very broad range of buildings
with which the Company is involved today.

At RASMCO , our philosophy is that our own success is directly

mind, we continually strive to identify alternative methods of construction,
quicker and more economical processes, and to help predict
future client requirements within each project's scope.
By
forming these special bonds, we are able to forge better relationships at
all levels within our joint businesses. Our approach consistently results in
significant cost savings for our clients, which in turn facilitates the high
percentage of repeat orders which form an integral part of RAMSCO ongoing
success.
In
addition, it is our strategy, where appropriate, to seek to share with our
clients the benefits which emanate from our significant resources and strong
capital base. This gives our clients great confidence that we are a
competitive but performance driven organization, focussing on quality,
efficiency and delivery. We always acutely aware of clients' budgetary
constraints and expectations for the timely completion of projects. As a
result, we have gained an enviable reputation for reliability within the
regional building industry.
Code of
Ethics:
To run our business effectively, we have developed management
tools which include a mission statement, corporate values and strategic
objectives. In addition, we have created a code of business conduct and ethical
guidelines around which we run our Company.
This
code of business conduct and ethical guidelines are a standing guide for
handling business situations in an honest and professional manner. Furthermore,
they assist us in making key business decisions. We designed this code to deter
wrongdoing and to promote:
·
Honest and ethical
conduct, including the ethical handling of actual or apparent conflicts of
interest between personal and professional relationships
·
Full, fair, accurate,
timely and transparent disclosure in all reports and documents which we file
and in other public communications made by us
·
Compliance with applicable
governmental laws, rules and regulations
·
The prompt internal
reporting to an appropriate person or persons, identified in the code, of any
violations of the code
·
Accountability for
adherence to the code
Corporate Social Responsibility
RASMCO
CSR programme is built around three key elements:
WORKPLACE:
·
We are committed to
maintaining a diverse workforce and have a zero-tolerance policy for
discrimination based on gender, religion, ethnic origin, etc.
·
Our payroll is based on a
grade system, where levels are clearly defined and transparent. Overtime
work is strictly quantified and paid at a premium, in accordance with the law.
·
We have robust employee
conduct guidelines which clearly outline acceptable behaviour. Every employee
has an effective channel to voice concerns or grievances. All notifications of
this nature are thoroughly investigated by the relevant supervisory personnel.
·
We consistently provide
relevant training for all employees throughout the Company. Setting an
appropriate ethical and moral framework for our employees is an integral part
of this process. This is encompassed in a formal Code of Ethics.
·
We run a number of
employee initiatives, the most popular of which include 'Tuition
re-imbursement' and 'Fast Track'. Both of these programmes allow promising
employees quicker career progression with financial assistance from the
company.
COMMUNITY:
·
We work closely with the
biggest developers and government authorities in order to provide a safe,
socially fair and inclusive enivronment for the communities with whom we
engage. We place great importance on compliance with all directives and
recommendations issued by the authorities.
·
We have established robust
procedures for stakeholder communication through client surveys, supplier
prequalifications and employee feedback mechanisms.
·
We have ongoing
relationships with Ministry . In addition, we undertake various charitable
initiatives aimed at raising money for, and increasing awareness of, other
worthy causes.
ENVIRONMENT:
·
We are at the forefront of
sustainable building in our industry. We have the capacity and know-how to
implement the most modern technologies in our field. We have already built
three LEED certified buildings and are actively seeking involvement in further
similar projects.
·
We accurately assess the
potential environmental impact of all our projects. Every site is subject to a
formal study covering normal environmental concerns, including the possible
impact of our construction activities on the local.
·
As a major construction
contractor, we use significant amounts of materials for each of our projects.
The efficient and effective usage of these materials is of paramount importance
to us. Wastage is minimized at all times; we re-use our scaffolding and
construction timber whenever appropriate.
·
The majority of our
business takes place in countries with arid, desert climates where water is a
very precious commodity. We are keenly aware of this and always strive to
minimize water usage, by implementing not only ISO standards but also our own
incremental procedures at our sites and production facilities.
·
Controlling energy usage
is critical to our operations. We have invested heavily in energy-efficient
systems and technology, as well as in the ongoing training and awareness of all
our employees regarding energy usage best practice.
